Oak Tree Cottage, once a farmworkers cottage, has been tastefully refurbished into a delightful cosy self-catering holiday cottage full of character perfect for a relaxing holiday in the West Somerset countryside.

The cottage is situated on our farm – Higher Langridge Farm - just 2 miles off the A396 at Exebridge, a pleasant drive on a quiet country road quietly tucked away on the southern edge of Exmoor near Dulverton. A working farm of some 250 acres with sheep and cows. The surrounding landscape is best described as picturesque, undulating countryside with ancient woodland and preserved hedgerows populated by elusive red deer, the occasional roe deer, foxes, badgers and owls. 
 
 
 The nearest pub is 2 miles away - the Anchor Inn at Exebridge beside the River Exe. There is a village shop and petrol station in Brushford 2 miles. Trout and coarse fishing are available at the Exe Valley Fishery in Exebridge. The popular Exmoor town of Dulverton is 4 miles with good shopping, galleries, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

Oak Tree Holiday Cottage Accommodation

From a private outside parking area the cottage is accessed through a cloakroom to inner hallway with door leading off to kitchen/diner. Well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer microwave, electric oven and hob and toaster. 
 
No need to pack those little essentials - you will find everything you need waiting for you :- salt and pepper, tea bags, sugar, ketchup, cling film, tin foil, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. 
 
The cottage has central heating throughout. 

Ground Floor

The lounge has a beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove, large comfy leather sofas and a flatscreen TV with Freeview and dvd player with dvds to watch, games to play or books to read. 
There is a downstairs bathroom/toilet, washbasin and shower over bath with large heated towel rail with bathsheets and hand towels provided for each guest. 
 
Please bring your own beach/swimming towels if required.
 
From the hallway a doorway leads down some steps to a sunny garden area with ancient hollow oak tree.  The cottage faces south and overlooks the Devon/Somerset border, our farm hedge is the border.
Upstairs

Stairway leading to small landing with access to 3 bedrooms;
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and original rustic oak panelling. South facing with valley views of fields and woodland.
The Twin room has two 3ft beds and is a larger room with preserved fireplace enjoying the same views as the master bedroom. 
The single room with a 3ft single bed overlooks the old farmyard with pond and resident ducks.

Oak Tree Holiday Cottage is centrally located between the North Devon and South Devon coasts.  Both are easily accessible and the towns of Taunton, Barnstaple, Exeter and Minehead are all within 25 miles.
